How It Works

A clear picture of what happens from first contact to finished space.

01

You Reach Out

Everything starts with a message or phone call. You don't need to have a complete picture of what you need — describing what's been frustrating you is enough. We listen and ask a few questions to understand the situation.

This initial conversation typically takes 15 to 30 minutes. There's no fee for it and no obligation to proceed.

02

Home Walkthrough

We visit your home and take a thorough look at every space — storage areas, living spaces, closets, the kitchen. We're looking at how things are currently arranged, what storage exists, and where the friction points are.

This isn't a judgment of how you live. It's a practical assessment that shapes the plan. We'll ask you to walk us through how you use different areas and what your priorities are.

03

Planning Session

Based on the walkthrough, we put together a clear plan: which areas we'll tackle, in what order, and roughly how many sessions the work will take. We discuss this with you before any hands-on work begins.

Plans change as we work — that's normal. But having a clear starting framework keeps the process from feeling open-ended and hard to finish.

04

Sorting Sessions

This is the core of the work. We go through belongings category by category, room by room. You make every keep-or-let-go decision. We keep things organized, moving, and manageable so decision fatigue doesn't set in.

Sessions are typically four to six hours. We bring organizational supplies as needed and we're prepared for the physical work of moving and sorting items. You don't need to do this alone.

For large projects, multiple sessions may be scheduled across consecutive days or separate weekends depending on your availability.
05

System Setup

Once items have been sorted, we establish storage systems. This means assigning every category of item a logical home — one that makes sense given how you use those items and what storage is available.

We explain the reasoning behind each placement so you understand the system well enough to maintain and adapt it yourself. A system you understand is one you can keep.

06

Final Walkthrough & Maintenance Guidance

We close every project with a walkthrough of the finished space and a conversation about maintenance. We share practical habits and simple routines that help the organization hold over time.

This isn't prescriptive. We're sharing what tends to work for households in situations similar to yours. You take what fits and leave the rest.

Things People Ask Before Starting

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Nothing special. We've worked in homes in every state of disorder. Tidying up before we arrive isn't necessary and can actually obscure what we need to see during the assessment.

How long does a full-home project take?

It varies considerably by home size, the volume of belongings, and how quickly decisions come. A focused apartment might be addressed in two sessions. A large home with significant accumulation could take several days of work spread across multiple visits.

Will you tell me what to throw away?

No. We help you think through decisions, but we don't make them for you. If you want to keep something, you keep it. Our role is to create the structure for clear thinking, not to impose a vision of what your home should look like.

Do you sell or recommend specific storage products?

We don't sell any products. If there's a clear case for purchasing a specific type of container or organizer, we'll mention it as a suggestion — but we work with what you have first and the recommendation carries no financial interest for us.

What happens to items I decide to let go of?

We help you organize outgoing items into clear categories — donate, discard, recycle — and provide guidance on local donation options. We don't transport items ourselves, but we'll make sure everything is clearly sorted before we leave.

Can you work in homes with children?

Absolutely. Homes with children often have particular organizational needs — toy storage, school material systems, shared spaces that need to work for different ages. We adapt our approach accordingly.
